This mesh size is suited for
flash (low pressure) chromatography. Its much smaller particle
size gives excellent separation result with pressurized column.
This is the most commonly used mesh size in organic synthesis
labs.
Silica Gel 200 - 300 mesh (Catalog # 80002):
This mesh size is suited for gravitational chromatography. Its
larger particle size of Silica Gel allows solvent to flow smoothly
without pressure while giving very good separation results. Its
flow is much slower than 100 -200 mesh Silica Gel.
